Getting to Phong Nha from Hanoi by bus is the most economical and common way many tourists choose. There are many buses taking you directly to the center of Phong Nha, such as the Queen Cafe bus, Camel Travel bus, and Hey Travel bus.
The bus will take you about 10 hours to get Phong Nha, with the price at around 250,000vnd/ one way. Traveling by train has become more and more popular for both domestic and international tourists in Vietnam. Although taking the train from Hanoi to Phong Nha will take you more time than by bus, you will have more chances to admire beautiful landscapes along the way.

• Taking the 10-hour train to Dong Hoi Railway Station in Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city of Quang Binh province

Hanoi to Phong Nha by airplane

Traveling by airplane is the fastest and the most comfortable way to get to Phong Nha. It will take you about 1,5 hours to reach Dong Hoi Airport. 

There are direct flights from Noi Bai International Airport to Dong Hoi Airport of Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Airs, and Bamboo Airways. Before traveling, you should check and the flight ticket in advance. You can buy the ticket directly from the airlines, or contact Handspan for the best fare. 

Taking off the flight at Dong Hoi Airport, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to the center of Phong Nha. Dong Hoi Airport is about 45 kilometers from Phong Nha, which takes you about 1 hour to reach.
