How to get to Quy Nhon 

By air 

If you’re planning to get to Quy Nhon from big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (HCMC), taking an airplane is the most convenient and fastest way for you. From Phu Cat airport, about 30 km from the center, there are flights in and out of the city every day. Now there are around ten direct flights from HCM and 3 to 4 flights from Hanoi to reach Quy Nhon. Furthermore, some airlines offering the flight to get to this city are Vietjet, Jetstar, and Vietnam Airlines. The ticket fees are quite variable, depending on the time, whether it is tourism season or not, and other services. 

There are shuttle buses running vice versus the airport or the center, which match with the flight schedule every day. The shuttle bus drops travelers off at 1 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, with a price of VND 50.000. So you can go by bus to get to the city center or the airport without being afraid of lateness. Besides, you can take a taxi to reach the city center from the airport. There are many taxi providers to choose from, like Mai Linh, Sao Mai, etc., from VND 200.000 - 380.000. 

By train 

Getting to Quy Nhon by train is another option for your trip. You can choose one of them, including Dieu Tri station and Quy Nhon station. About 15-km far from the center, Dieu Tri station is a place that Thong Nhat trains go through while Quy Nhon station is a Bac - Nam train branch. The trains at Quy Nhon station are SQN (Sai Gon - Quy Nhon), QV (Quy Nhon - Vinh), QN (Quy Nhon - Nha Trang), and DQ (Quy Nhon - Da Nang). 

Particularly, from Hanoi, there are SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7, SE9 departing from Hanoi station to Dieu Tri station every day. Obviously, SE3 (departing from 19h30 to 17h16) seems to be the most suitable train for tourists. 

From Sai Gon, SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE10, and SE22 stop at Dieu Tri while SQN2 stops at Quy Nhon. Surely that there are some trains which are the most suitable trains for you. Especially, there are SE2 (21h55 - 8h27), SGN (21h25 to 10h55), SE4 (19h45 - 6h57) and SE8 (6h - 17h2).

By coach/sleeping-buses

Going to Quy Nhon by bus is one of the options that you might consider for your trip. Furthermore, there are many coach-provider companies operating between Quy Nhon and surrounding areas. This option is the most affordable, especially for those tightening their budget but taking longer than others. There are a few sleeping-coaches departing from Mien Dong bus station in HCMC each day. It takes around 12-14 hours, and most of them leave in the evenings; thereby, you can sleep through the night. Phuc Thuan Thuan and Futa Bus are the main coach-providers from HCMC. The ticket fee is about VND 260.000/person/way, and you can book through Baolau. Besides, several coaches depart from other surrounding areas, including Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, etc. You can easily book via hotels where you stay. 

By private car 

The last option to get to Quy Nhon is by private car if you’re traveling from a nearby city. Hiring a private car or minivan for your trip makes you feel more comfortable and can stay anywhere you want. You can easily hire a car via your hotels where you stay. 

Getting around Quy Nhon 

There are some transportation options for tourists to get around Quy Nhon city, including motorbike, taxi, private car, or bicycle. The most convenient and common option for getting around the city here is by motorbike. You can easily hire a bike via your hotel or ask them to take you to the nearest rental providers. The rental fee for a day is reasonable, roughly VND 200.000 - 300.000. Hiring a motorbike to go around the city helps you save time and stop at any spots you want. Moreover, Quy Nhon now has many motorbike taxis (called “xe om”) and a ride-hailing service called Grab bikes. You can easily find them on the street of Quy Nhon. If you are not good at reading maps, choosing motorbike taxis or Grabs is a smart choice for your trip.
