We depart at 8.00AM from your hotel.
Drive to the South of Bagan to Salay. Stop en route in Chauk to visit the colorful morning market. In Salay visit Yoke Sone Monastery, the oldest wooden monastery hall with beautiful wood carvings decorating the outer walls and Shinbin Maha Laba Man Paya which houses a large lacquer Buddha image dated back from 13th century.
Continue to Mount Popa an extinct volcano at 1,518m high with shrine dedicated to the worship of 37 Nats – Myanmar’s ancient animist spirits. Learn about nats and nat worship as you climb 777 steps up the mount to the top to have an impressive view over the surrounding regions.
Tour ends at around 17.00PM.
