Ho Chi Minh City is easily the largest city in Vietnam and was regarded as the heart of Indochina during the French colonial period. Although the worst excesses of those days have gone, it remains the brash, exciting city originally known as Saigon. 7:45 – meet our guide at your hotel lobby. Your day starts with a morning coffee at Tao Dan park. Coves 10 hectares ò Saigon, the park is an ideal urban green space and offers perfect spot for the city birds lover club. Enjoy your local coffee while listening to birds’ song or have some chat chit with locals.
The next stop will be the Reunification Palace - a blend of traditional ritual and modern architecture, served as the presidential palace of South Vietnam until reunification in 1975. The building now functions as a museum, offering tours of the former state rooms, presidential office and library, living quarters of the president's family, and underground war rooms.
From the palace, you’ll take a stroll to some major colonial architecture of the city including the City Hall, the Opera House, the Notre Dame Cathedral... Your retro walk ends with refreshment at a hidden cafe. Back to your hotel at around 12:30.
