Overview
Flawless powdery beaches and clear turquoise waters. Located in Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady Region 270km west of Yangon, the beach resort town of Ngwe Saung is known for its hotel fringed shoreline with its white-sand beaches lapped by crystal clear waters. This little village boasts a laid-back atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Visitors can look forward to spending long sun-filled days lazing on picturesque beaches, browsing a collection of shops selling traditional handicrafts and sampling the daily catch, as well as a variety of other fantastic seafood dishes including shrimp, lobster, and crab, at a local seaside restaurant. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch the sunset over the Bay of Bengal, a truly spectacular sight. Other popular activities include: boating, fishing, snorkelling, taking a walk to Lover’s Island at low tide, and visiting a local fishing village at the southern end of the beach.
Day 1 Ngwe Saung
Drive 5hrs to Pathein from Yangon, capital city of Ayeyarwaddy division and delta region. It is further 1hr drive on winding road to the coast and Ngwe Saung. Pathein is known for timeless fashion items "parasols" which come in all colours and shapes. We can stop to see how these are made should you wish.
Day 2 Ngwe Saung
Breakfast at your hotel, Rest of the day is for enjoying pristine beaches of Ngwe Saung, relaxing in the shade of palm trees by the sea. Active visitors can choose from visiting to surrounding villages, or hiring a boat to go fishing or sailing against the coastal backdrop of Bay of Bengal.
Day 3 Ngwe Saung
Breakfast at your hotel, Rest of the day is for enjoying pristine beaches of Ngwe Saung, relaxing in the shade of palm trees by the sea. Active visitors can choose from visiting to surrounding villages, or hiring a boat to go fishing or sailing against the coastal backdrop of Bay of Bengal.
Day 4 Ngwe Saung - Yangon
Breakfast at your hotel. Free at leisure until transfer (6hrs) to back to Yangon.
