New packages, Handspan keeps pioneering travel grounds
2Handspan team worked on new travel packages to keep up with evolutions and trends of this fast-moving industry. Already few new ready-to-go, yet customizable, packages have been released. More to come soon. So what is this all about?
Innovative products to better match travel trends and travelers’ expectations
In the late nineties and at the beginning of the 21st Century, Handspan made its fame with small-groups adventure tours. This model was declining with structural changes at the destinations and in the types of travelers coming to Vietnam and Indochina. We slowly moved to soft-adventure tours and got more requests for private, tailor-made tours. From a short period of time, the general increase in costs and so prices in the region made the fully-customized option something less affordable to anyone. Added to this the immediacy factor with travelers willing to make their travel deal faster, and you get a partly-obsolete commercial model.
The challenge, as we understand it, was to develop packages to meet the new expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s travelers. The solution was to create packages that are set but easily and directly customizable by the clients. It means we keep a fast and smooth operational system while giving our clients the possibility to build their program from given foundations. They customize their tour and calculate immediately the cost. An example of this is our extendable and upgradable loop taking people to various destinations on a flexible program: our already successful From the Mountains to Halong tour.
Renew the essence of the tours, destinations, programs, activities
If you follow our blog on a regular basis, you must be aware that we recently took on several inspection trips to find and set up original and exciting programs. These are parts of our new packages. In our new Central Vietnam Adventure package, we included our newest and quasi-exclusive routes of Central Vietnam and coupled them with our already popular backyard’s program in Phong Nha National Park, Hue, Bach Ma National Park, and Hoian.
These new programs are adapted to family trips. Activities are carefully selected to be kids-friendly and programs are adjustable to make sure the pace is not rushing anyone. Handspan wants to engage on a family vacation and we are revising products and operations to better face this new type of demand. So while we are talking about kids, and if you plan to travel to Vietnam with them soon, then you must check out our 100% kid-adapted tour: Family Adventure in Vietnam.
Some more programs will be revealed soon. So stay tuned and contact us if you need any information or want to start planning some fun in Asia [info@handspan.com]
