Greater quality at lower price. The Handspan challenge
2When browsing vacation options, the traveler often looks for the best possible quality of services within the range of what his budget allows. The dilemma of “is it really worth it?” or “should I pay a bit more to get much better services?”. We all know about it. Price remains the number one criteria in decision making when planning holidays. And it is fair enough.
In Vietnam, the cost of life is increasing rapidly, and so do the prices of tourism services. Food is more expensive; hotels, car rentals, human resources too. It became hard for the tour operators to keep tours prices steady in such a hostile economic environment. Quality of infrastructures, equipment and service is definitely improving. But for how long will the travelers accept to pay a bill that probably doubled over the past decade and that keeps increasing?
At Handspan, we decided that passively answering to the rise of costs by increasing our prices was no longer the attitude to adopt. We took on this challenge aggressively and reviewed our strategy. Through supply chain management and tour design, we succeeded in lowering the prices of some of our tours in 2015, while keeping untouched or even improving the quality of your travel experience.
Besides, our travel consultants now offer a wider range of joined-group tours. They are limited to 8 people per group and bring you to the mountains of Sapa and the valley of Mai Chau. It gives a chance to solo travelers or couples to share some costs and take the price of the tour per person down. Some more will come up soon, so stay tuned.
This is how you can now travel to Sapa, Ba Be national park, Pu Luong nature reserve, Mai Chau valley and other destinations, with the Handspan quality but at a lower price.
